Holistic Cycle Awareness Class starting on the NEW MOON

Not related to comedy or storytelling BUT THIS IS MY BLOG AND I SUPPORT ALL MY FRIENDS!!!

(The all caps made me laugh.)

Hi friends!

I’m doing a FREE class series for the next 4 Mondays starting on the New Moon:

Holistic Cycle Awareness: Journey through the Menstrual / Fertility Cycle in 4 Phases

 Mondays, June 3, 10, 17, 24

 5:30 - 7 PM PST / 7:30 - 9PM CST  /  8:30 - 10PM EST

Each class will go through a layer of anatomy and physiology to help understand and connect to what’s happening each day of the month (or however long a cycle happens to be).

Then we’ll go deeper into each phase of the cycle: how it might look and feel, the energetics, symbolic, and emotional aspects.

Some of you may have taken a cycle awareness class with me before, but this will be a new format, more space for questions and sharing, and we’ll be leaning in to the moon cycle phases as a ritual for all of us to collectively get more in tuned with the fertility/menstrual cycle.

Each time I go through cycle anatomy and physiology, and each time I go through another personal cycle, I find a deeper understanding of this particular portal of the magic of natural cycles and find new levels of embodiment potential.

There are plenty of months where I'm less aware and less connected to my cycle throughout the month because I'm distracted by other things going on in my life.

But in the cycles when I'm in touch daily with my cycle, it brings me messages and teachings and I can keep learning about my body/nature and using it as a healing path.

Each cycle is an opportunity to connect to menstrual magic, release, death, and work with universal creation energy and rebirth in the fertile phase.

This class series could be especially helpful for you if you want to find a deeper connection to cycles for supporting your cycle health, you’re on a pre-conception journey, or if you're interested in learning the fertility awareness method of birth control, this would be a great introduction.

Even if you're already charting, having the community support and space to talk about our cycles is always so nourishing, healing, and empowering.

So if you want to go on this cycle awareness love journey starting on the new moon this Monday, send me a message to sign up and I will send you more details and a zoom link.

Also feel free to reach out with any questions.

Hope to see some of you there!

True Stories and Faithful Friends - Onicia Updates - August 2018

Aight, so what have I been up to? Oh you know, just the usual: slapping words together and creating dope art with cool people. Last month we filmed my episode of Pre-Existing. I'm so thankful that Lissette was there to direct. Lissette works well under pressure and she's was so amazing and reading my mood and redirecting my energy. Bruh, with friends like these.
I also said goodbye to a dear Chicago friend. This month's ENTIRE Fangirlin' section is dedicated the talented Ms. Candice Lola <3

Shout out my fabulous collaborators: David Audino (executive producer/cinematographer), Lissette Hall (producer/director/cheerleader), Sandy Lee (actor), Sonal Aggarwal (actor), Greg Callozzo (actor), Kyle Hendrix (production assistant), Ashley Connell (on-set producer), and Nick Torres (production assitant/cheerleader).
That's all I gotta say today. Got something I should see or someone I should collaborate with? Email me or shout at me on Twitter. Upcoming EventsThe Kates …

Writing all da Words - Onicia Updates - July 2018

Holy hotdog it is hot in Chicago -- like Caribbean hot! This is the summer of adulting; I'm using a coaster and choosing water over soda. Well, I'm not really a sugary drink person, but I try to get at least one when I go to parties.
Last month, I reunited with my friend Alicia Music in DC to attend IGNITE Caribbean's 30 Under 30 award ceremony. Virginia is so beautiful. I love the hills and greenery. Between enjoying Five Guys, ice cream, and cherry danishes, I managed to squeeze in a salad or three. Told y'all this was the summer of adulting. It's been about 10 (maybe 15) years since I'd been to America's capital. Funny enough, I choose to pajamas that I'd purchased during me previous DC trip. Yuh gyal still got it!
Lately, I've been freaking out about how much I need/want to do before summer ends. I write thoughts I want to meditate on my whiteboard. Andrew Peterson inspired the quote "be kind to yourself." When it feels like I'm …

Men who break their own hearts (Candice Lola)
Excuse me, kind miss, but may I lean on you for the payment of my company on your walk?
